The Program for masters structure is from an area of concentration (History of Brazil), in search of lines 1 - History, City, Memorial and Labor, 2 - History, Culture and Art. Has as main objective the training of researchers capable of producing a critical analysis of the local reality.
This course is offered in Câmpus of Dom Pedrito, Sant `ana do Livramento and San Borja. The course has duration of 4 years (8 semesters). The classes take place in the night shift. This course aims to train qualified professionals to develop educational activities in elementary and high school - history and organization, social and political geography of Brazil and in elementary school and, because of teaching itself, conduct research and provide advisory services in various fields of cultural-historical knowledge. The program of postgraduate studies in Social History of the Amazon search form and train researchers and teachers in the area of history, creating mechanisms for students and teachers to produce and disseminate their studies. On the social diversity, ethnic, cultural and biodiversity of the Amazon site, this program has two lines of research: History & Nature and Work, Culture and Ethnicity that fuel the creation of historical studies that relate to reality and the Amazon area in Brazil with that of the surrounding countries, as well as border areas of the rest of Brazil.
