"All colleges and universities sustained or in any manner supported by public funds shall give instruction in the history of the United States and the history of Georgia and in the essentials of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of Georgia; and no undergraduate student in any college or university shall receive a certificate of graduation or a degree without successfully completing course work or previously passing a satisfactory examination on the same. Facilities The electronic services provided by the Ingram Library are reputed to be among the most advanced in the state of Georgia. The Center for Public History researches, documents, preserves and promotes public discussion of the history and the architectural, cultural and folklife resources of west Georgia and the surrounding region. The Georgia Political Heritage Project is an oral history program that documents the memories of Georgia’s political leaders as they recount their role in the state’s political history. Graduates include an interpretive ranger at Manzanar National Park, a curator at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, the director of the Cherokee Museum, archivist at the University of Mississippi, and positions in Georgia such as the Atlanta History Center and Kennesaw National Park.
